About the Cree Language ProjectThe Cree Language Project was created to celebrate the heritage and language of Cree Communities living on Turtle Island. The project aims to develop awareness of language and culture through traditional stories, language basics, and community engagement. Our materials support active engagement with the Cree language and the places where it is spoken. |
Our Journey to Promote the Cree Language
The Cree Language Project is the start of a journey to promote the strength and diversity of the Cree culture through language. The project's approach is to increase awareness of language through language basics, common phrases, and phonetics. These are introduced through a variety of digital media that entertains and educates.
At the Cree Language Project, our mission is to inspire, educate, and fortify the Cree culture. We believe that by sharing knowledge and fostering connections, we can create a brighter future for all Cree communities. Join us as we weave together the threads of tradition, language, and community, strengthening the tapestry of our heritage.
Our Vision: We envision a world where the Cree language thrives, where people of all backgrounds have the opportunity to learn and appreciate it. Our Mission: Our mission is to preserve and promote the Cree language and culture by providing accessible online resources for learning and cultural enrichment. |
